Virginia Gardens

Virginia Gardens is located in Temple. Virginia Gardens is in the north side of Temple, at 1403 North 5th Street. There are a total of seven 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. The properties' proximity to downtown Temple makes for easy access to shops, work sites, restaurants and banks. Section 8 vouchers are accepted.

Amenities

The all-electric, energy efficient apartments are cable TV ready and have central heating and air conditioning. Trash removal is provided at no cost. Laundry facilities are in close proximity to Virginia Gardens. Emergency maintenance is also available.

How Do I Apply?
Applications can be submitted electronically via the link provided below.

If you need assistance completing the electronic application, you can come to the Temple Housing Authority office between the hours of 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday (except holidays).

Resident Selection Criteria

Required application information:
♦ Current and previous tenancy for at least the last five (5) years that includes the landlord's name, current phone number, and the address where you lived, complete with any apartment numbers.
♦ Character References that are NOT friends, relatives or co-workers, AND they must have known you for at least six (6) months. Acceptable Character References can include past or present employment supervisors, pastors at church, or neighbors.

What Else Will I Need To Do?
When you submit the application, you must provide the following original documents for verification within ten (10) days:
♦ The most recent six (6) pay stubs for all adult members of the household.
♦ A valid state issued picture ID for all adult members of the household.
♦ Social security cards and birth certificates for all members of the household.

If you are unable to provide the required documents, call the office at the number listed below and request an extension. The maximum time given for extension is seven (7) days.

Application Fee
♦ A $45.00 application fee per person over the age of 18, or $45.00 per married couple, is required.
♦ Your application will not be processed until we receive your application fee, and the fee is non-refundable.
